KJ Burk is an accomplished fine artist in several mediums, styles and techniques. Her work became quickly sought after from coast-to-coast in the 1980’s. She completely stopped drawing and painting in 1995 and didn’t begin engaging in creative visual art projects again until 2015. After a 20 year hiatus from the art world she now draws and paints daily again at her home studio nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Ozarks.
Art by KJ, old and new, reside in both private and public collections around the world. KJ is also the owner of the Ozarks Art Center & Gallery located in Hartville, Missouri where she offers private lessons as well as free painting demonstrations.
Feel free to Contact KJ if you have any questions about her work, lessons or demonstration schedule.
KJ Burk creates exquisite landscape and hunt scene painting on deer & elk skins, as well as on bear & buffalo hides using a traditional Sioux stretching method. “After the Storm” pictured here is still taught and vibrant after 30 years.
